Historical Description[]

China’s Capital City, Beijing, was established over 3,000 years ago, though at that time the city was named “City of Ji”. Over the next 3,000 years, the ruling powers and Dynasties of China would change many times, but Beijing remained an integral city of China throughout. With a staggering population of over 21 million, Beijing plays an important role in the modern world as one of the world’s leading centers for business, economics, tourism and technology.

Because Beijing has served as a hotspot in China for 3,000 years, the Capital is rich with history, and houses a large variety of Chinese cultural landmarks, including the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and the Tiananmen. The Capital’s unique blend of modern structures, ancient landmarks, and everything in between allows it to act as a physical representation of the evolution of the country of China.
