The Cannon (level 3 Ranged Siege) is a standard siege unit. Its predecessor is the Bombard. It can be upgraded to the Artillery.
Description
Cannon are contrusted using advanced metallurgy technology, allowing them to be smaller but more reliable than the elder bombards. Using solid metal (or explosive) shot they can bring down a castle from a great distance. In fact the cannon rendered castles obsolete, to be replaced by fortresses with low, angled walls which would deflect the shells up rather than try to withstand their force.
