Historical Description[]

The Panhard Combat Reconnaissance Armored Buggy, or CRAB for short, is a lightly armored recon vehicle unveiled in 2012. The need for such a vehicle emerged as many countries continue to use reconnaissance vehicles from the 1960s today. Just like commuter vehicles created in the 60s, these older buggies are beginning to show their age through outdated technology and requiring frequent maintenance.

The CRAB is French-made and boasts mine-blast protective seats, spaced layers of armor plating for shock absorption, and an advanced networking computer to which displays enemy locations and equipment in real time on an internal screen. Additionally, the Panhard CRAB can be outfitted with even thicker armor, providing additional protection from rocket-propelled grenades.

Note: the historical description doesn't change since Automation Age unit upgrade.
