The Digital Age is the fourteenth age in DomiNations, released on November 12, 2019. It is reached by paying 17,000,000 gold in the City Center while in the Space Age, takes 12 citizens and 15 days to complete. It is preceded by the Space Age and succeeded by the Information Age. In real life it is a part of the Information Age.
The Digital Revolution is the era of transition from analog to digital technologies that began in the 1980s and continues into the first decades of the 21st century; fundamental changes associated with the widespread use of information and communication technologies that began in the second half of the 20th century and became the prerequisites for the information revolution, which, in turn, predetermined the processes of globalization and the emergence of a post-industrial economy. The main driving forces are the widespread use of computing technology, primarily personal computers, the comprehensive penetration of the Internet, and the mass use of personal portable communication devices. In terms of the scale of its transformation, it is sometimes compared to the agricultural revolution in the Neolithic period and the industrial revolution in the 18th-19th centuries; in the context of ideas about the Second Industrial Revolution of the second half of the 19th - early 20th centuries, it is sometimes called the Third Industrial Revolution (followed by the fourth).
