“For when you absolutely must have the biggest tank on the battlefield. With much greater armor and firepower, it easily dispatches smaller tanks while absorbing tremendous punishment. However it has a very high population cost and the slow rate of fire can cause it to be bogged down by overwhelming odds.”

FV 215 is a standard level 7 Heavy Tank unit unlocked in Cold War Age. Its predecessor is Heavy Tank Mk.6 and can be upgraded to Heavy Tank Mk.8.

Historical Description[]

The FV215 was a prototype British heavy tank designed in response to the Soviet IS-3. The tank was conceptualized to be equipped with the QF 183 mm L4 gun, the largest and most powerful tank gun in the world at the time of its development in the 1950s. The biggest change between the prototype of the FV215 and the FV214 was the position of the turret closer to the rear of the vehicle. This was to help counterbalance the weight of the canon. Like the FV214, this variant never went into full production.
