“A powerful anti-infantry unit which excels against large groups of enemies. Their attacks suppress enemy infantry, causing them to move at half speed and deal half damage.”

M60E1 Machine Gun Unit is a level 8 standard Machine Gun Infantry unlocked in Cold War Age. Its predecessor is the Valiant Machine Gun and can be upgraded to Expert Machine Gun.

General Information[]

This unit has the ability to shoot multiple defenders at once and over the wall at a relatively shorter distance compare to other Range Unit. Their target will move at half speed and deal half damage.

A Machine Gun is a firearm designed to fire bullets as long as the trigger is held, as opposed to semi-automatic weapons that require a trigger-pull for each bullet. The first truly automatic machine gun, the water-cooled Maxim, saw action in WWI, helping make that conflict the high-casualty nightmare it would become.

A Heavy Machine Gun in history is usually a machine that fires larger caliber rounds than a standard MG. HMGs were not portable devices and were often only mounted in defensive emplacements, tanks, and rarely on aircraft.

Historical Description[]

The M60E1 was the first variation to the M60 machine gun; however, it never went into full production. Instead many of its features were incorporated into the later E3 and E4 versions of the weapon. Many of its features were also retrospectively incorporated into the regular M60, such as the connection mechanisms for the barrel, bipod, and gas cylinder. Like the regular M60, the E1 variant could be fired from the hip, shoulder, or set up on a bipod and fired in a prone position, as was the prefered method. Unlike the regular M60, the bipod was connected to the gas tube rather than the barrel.
