Heroic Machine Gun

The Heroic Machine Gun is currently the highest level of Machine Gun Infantry available in the game.

“A powerful anti-infantry unit which excels against large groups of enemies. Their attacks suppress enemy infantry, causing them to move at half speed and deal half damage.”

Machine Gun Infantry is the first type of Troop from Factory to use for the player in DomiNations.

General Information Edit

This unit has the ability to shoot multiple defenders at once and over the wall (since Combat Rebalance) at a relative shorter distance compare to other Range Unit. Their target will move at half speed and deal half damage.

A Machine Gun is a firearm designed to fire bullets as long as the trigger is held, as opposed to semi-automatic weapons that require a trigger-pull for each bullet. The first truly automatic machine gun, the water-cooled Maxim, saw action in WWI, helping make that conflict the high-casualty nightmare it would become.

A Heavy Machine Gun in history is usually a machine that fires larger caliber rounds than a standard MG. HMGs were not portable devices and were often only mounted in defensive emplacements, tanks, and rarely on aircraft.

Boosts Edit

The Heavy Weaponry Technology at the Library confers these bonuses to the Machine Gun Infantry:

  • Chapter 1: Increases Machine Gun Infantry attack by 10%
  • Chapter 5: Increases Machine Gun Infantry health by 10%.

The Warfare Technology at the Library confers these bonuses to the Machine Gun Infantry

  • Chapter 1: +20% Machine Gun Infantry damage against defender (Factor 5 => 6)

The Versailles wonder confers these bonuses to the Machine Gun Infantry:

  • Hitpoint boost to both your attacking and defending troops: 10%
  • The Heritage at the Library Chapter 1 increases the hitpoints bonus from +10% to +11%.

The Brandenburg Gate wonder confers these bonuses to the Machine Gun Infantry:

  • Factory unit damage: +20%
  • The Heritage at the Library Chapter 1 increases this factory damage bonus from +20% to +22%.

TriviaEdit

Credited for the rise in death tolls in modern warfare, the machine gun completely changed infantry tactics and annihilated traditional cavalry.
