  • Hi Hinz.light,

Would you be opposed if I were to finish converting this wiki's mercenary infobox template to a portable format and apply the changes across the wiki (it would affect 28 articles)? It looks like another user had started generating a new draft for this template at one point, but I went in this morning and tweaked it a bit more, so it now closely-resembles the current, non-portable version that the wiki is using. Could you take a look at the result here, and tell me what you think? It can be tweaked further if you'd prefer.

If you're curious about my reasoning behind this, it is because the current template does not appear to display all information properly on mobile devices (no info below the "Damage per second" parameter displayed when I checked). Since over 80% of the traffic to this wiki is via mobile devices, this is something that should probably be addressed.

    • It has been approved, and the template is now live. I checked out a few of the articles where it is used, and I can't see any complications. Even better, all the content is now view-able on mobile! 😃

  • Hi Hinz.light,

I thought I would reach out to you, since you are one of the administrators here. I have recently been appointed as the Fandom Wiki Manager for this wiki. I am here to assist this community in an official capacity and act as a liaison between you, and full-time Fandom staff. If you, or any other users of this wiki ever have an issue or question related to the wiki (editing, templates, wiki design, or any other matters), please feel free to contact me on my message wall, and I will assist in any way I can.

  • Small thing, but at the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen the ages section shows "Medievel" the correct spelling is "Medieval". I know a bit nitpicky, but just wanted to point it out to you!

  • When I screenshot images from my game, it always looks blurry or pixelated. What do you do or recommend any ways to capture better and higher resolution images.

      Loading editor
    • I think it is might be due to your phone's display resolution. But it could be because your app to crop the image is destroying the image.

My phone have a resolution depth around 403 dpi. It is a mid range phone.

Try it using a better device. If you dont have it, you can use computer app.

  • this time I will have to promote you, the reason is that none of the 2 bureaucrats that manage the wiki is active (Mack and me). And I'm just checking to see that everything goes well. Mack stopped editing from September 20.

If for some reason I disappear nobody can take care of the wiki as it happened in 2017.

    Bureaucrats

Bureaucrats are one level "up" from administrators. Bureaucrats only have the ability to manipulate user rights, as well as block and unblock users, so this right is generally used in addition to the administrator group.

They have the ability to promote and revoke rollback, Content Moderator, and administrator rights as well as appointing new bureaucrats. While they cannot directly remove another user's bureaucrat status, they can remove their own. Bureaucrats also have the ability to remove a user's bot status in case the bot is malfunctioning, but bot flag requests are handled by staff after being approved (by either a bureaucrat or the community).

Having this status causes the tag "BUREAUCRAT" to appear next to user's username on their profile, unless changed on MediaWiki:User-identity-box-group-bureaucrat.

The bureaucrat status can only be removed by FANDOM Staff or by the Bureaucrat themselves.

As you can see Bureucrat is the most "badass" role for a normal user. Although that does not mean you can do evil things, even if you are a bureaucrat there is a great wall of authority above you, which are the staff members of the central wiki that can remove the bureucrat role of the "evil bureucrats".

  • I have considered that your contributions to the wiki are enough for Council (admin) role and you will surely do a good job for the wiki.

Administrators (also known as "admins" or "sysops") are trusted users who are generally chosen by the community and also have access to the following rights:

    • All privileges from the Discussions Moderator and Content Moderator groups.
    • Block users who are vandalizing the wiki from editing and other actions.
    • Grant and revoke both the Chat Moderator and Discussion Moderator rights.
    • Edit the community's skin and format.
    • Edit white-listed MediaWiki pages.

For more details, see the Help:Administrators' how-to guide.

Being an administrator makes the tag "ADMIN" appear next to a user's name on their profile, unless changed on MediaWiki:User-identity-box-group-sysop.

Discussions Moderators are users who have additional tools available to manage conversations in various features across the community where users are having discussions. These tools are:

    • Removing and restoring threads and replies from any user
    • Closing and reopening threads
    • Manage Forum boards, move threads from one board to another, and highlight and un-highlight threads.
    • Moderating chat
    • Deleting blog comments
    • Editing and deleting article comments
    • Moderating the Discussions feature, if enabled.

Having this status causes the tag "DISCUSSIONS MODERATOR" to appear next to user's username in their profile, unless changed on MediaWiki:User-identity-box-group-threadmoderator.

Content Moderators are users who have additional tools available to moderate specific parts of the community. These tools are:

    • Deleting and moving protected pages
    • Deleting and moving files
    • Undeleting pages and files
    • Rollback
    • Re-upload files
    • Protecting and unprotecting pages
    • Patrol pages if the community has the RecentChanges patrol feature enabled

Having this status causes the tag "CONTENT MODERATOR" to appear next to user's username in their profile, unless changed on MediaWiki:User-identity-box-group-content-moderator.

I wonder, should we edit the top navigation?

The level 4 Navigations are not accesible. I think we should stick with 3 Level Navigation

Ask to the community, there is a rule that says you can be banned if you ruin the navigation.

Talk to the community using the discord chat.

We do not really have members that edit like you, so it's normal that I've promoted you because the lack of wikia editors.

Ok. I'll ask at Discord. Thank you

Sorry, I change my mind to edit it. I'll just fix the broken link. I think it is sufficient.

Yes, it will not be a problem. What i really wanted to say is that if you make it work badly you could end up banned if someone reports you.

Anyway, if that happens you could reverse the changes but do it fast.
