The evolutions in military technology have resulted in planes that can be flown without the need of a manual pilot. The MQ-9 Reaper is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) capable of being operated by a pilot from the safety of the backlines, or even flown autonomously. Without the need of a pilot in the airfact, the MQ-9 can perform high-altitude surveillance for long periods of time, providing surveillance for military intelligence. This aircraft is currently used by British, Italian and American Air Forces.
