Apart from Caravans and Farms, additional Resources can be gathered by hunting Wildlife (and resource boxes). Various Wildlife is automatically spawned over time, each adding to your Gold, Food, Crowns or Trade Goods. The amount of resources gathered in this way as well as the actual hunting time vary depending on your current age. You can also get more resources by using the Gold Mines and the Fruit Trees. These animals can also give you Leather and Fur, Trade Goods that can be used to hire Mercenaries.

Boosts[edit | edit source]

Statistic Modifiers (These modify the base statistics below)

The Exploration Technology at the Library confers these bonuses:

  • Chapter 3: 5% chance to find Wildlife when clearing Debris.

  • Chapter 4: +10% chance to find Wildlife when clearing Debris.

The Hounds Technology at the Library confers these bonuses:

  • Chapter 1: Increases resources from hunting by 5%.

  • Chapter 2: Increases chance of finding Fur and Leather by 20%.

  • Chapter 3: Increases chance of finding Bears and Boars by 5%.

  • Chapter 4: Increases the maximum number of Stags.

  • Chapter 5: Increases the maximum number of Wildlife by 1.

Emperor Moctezuma in the University confers these bonuses:

  • Hunting Time: Decrease time to harvest hunted animals by +18% (5 levels).

  • Hunting Food & Gold Yield: +20% food and gold gained from hunting (5 levels).

General Information[edit | edit source]

The maximum number of animals in the Classical and Gunpowder Ages is at least 8 without Chapter 5 of Hounds.

The respawn time varies based upon how many animals are currently present. With no animals present two animals will respawn at these times:

  • Classical Age: ~10 minutes.
  • Gunpowder Age: ~15 minutes.
